NY hydraulic tension clamps are mainly used to fix conductors and lightning protection wires in overhead power lines or substations, and are connected to tension insulators via connecting fittings. The anchor shackle is one of the commonly used connecting fittings, and the two can be connected as follows:
Determine the specifications of connecting fittings: Select an anchor shackle with appropriate specifications based on the model and application requirements of the NY hydraulic tension clamp. Anchor shackles are usually made of hot-dip galvanized steel or aluminum alloy; their nominal breaking load must meet the line tension requirements, and their inner diameter must match the connection part of the tension clamp.
Inspect components: Before connection, check whether the tension clamp has been properly crimped to the conductor and whether there are defects such as cracks or deformation on its surface; at the same time, check whether the anchor shackle has problems such as rust or wear to ensure all components are intact.
Perform connection operation: Tension clamps are usually equipped with dedicated connection holes or connection parts. Pass one end of the anchor shackle through the connection hole of the tension clamp. If matching bolts and nuts are provided, tighten and fix them; if a pin connection is adopted, insert the pin into the pin holes of the anchor shackle and the tension clamp, and ensure the pin is installed firmly to prevent falling off.
Recheck the connection status: After the connection is completed, recheck whether the connection between the anchor shackle and the tension clamp is tight and free of looseness. Only after confirming the connection is reliable can it be put into use.
